Training im Hotel Baur Au Lac in Zürich

Letzte Woche durfte ich dreieinhalb Tage lehrreiches und inspirierendes Training im Baur au Lac geniessen. Eine zentrale Lage, ein klassischer Stil sowie der sehr persönliche Service waren für mich die schönsten Eindrücke des Hotels. Ebenfalls beeindruckte mich die stetige Renovation der Hotelzimmer, welche dem Hotel ermöglicht, stets „neue“ Zimmer zu präsentieren.

Ich bin sehr dankbar, dass ich dem Réception Team über die Schultern gucken durfte und sogar direkt an der Réception mit dem Team, auch gleich in Form von Rollenspielen, verschiedene Situationen trainieren konnte. Zudem hatte ich die Möglichkeit mit Alexander Gibb, „Director Revenue and Reservations“, diverse Aspekte im Bereich Marketing und Sales betreffend Reservationen zu lernen.

Während des Trainings wurde ich von einem Gastro Club Member überrascht. Hedy Schlatter erkundigte sich interessiert, wie das Training läuft und wie es mir gehe. Dies freute mich sehr. Zudem hatte sie mir sogar ein Geschenk mitgebracht, die Spezialität „Wyfelder Schlossgeistli“.

Ich habe mein Training im Hotel Baur au Lac sehr genossen und es war definitiv nicht mein letzter Besuch.

Last week I was allowed to enjoy three and a half days of instructive and inspiring training at Baur au Lac in Zurich.

A central location, a classic style and the very personal service were for me the most beautiful impressions of the hotel. I was also fascinated by the uninterrupted renovation of the hotel rooms, which allows the hotel to always present „new“ rooms.

I am very grateful that I was allowed to look over the shoulders of the reception team and that I could even train different situations directly at the reception with the team in the form of role-plays.
I also had the opportunity to learn about different aspects of sales & marketing related to reservations under the supervision of Alexander Gibb, Director of Revenue and Reservations.

During the training I received a surprise visit by a Gastro Club member that made me very happy: Hedy Schlatter; she was interested to know how I was doing and how the training was going. And I was even happier to receive from her a little gift and a specialty: the „Wyfelder Schlossgeistli“.

I really enjoyed my training at Hotel Baur au Lac and, I promise you, it will not be my only visit of this magnificent hotel.
