Ein grosser und historischer Moment steht bevor und ich habe die Ehre dabei zu sein.

Es ist ein Privileg, als erster Kandidat die Schweiz mit dem Beruf „Hotel Réception“ an den WorldSkills 2019 vertreten zu dürfen.

Mit Freude berichte ich Ihnen durch diesen Blog über meine Tätigkeiten und Erlebnisse auf dem Weg nach Kazan. Eine aufregende Zeit steht bevor, die Rekrutenschule sowie eine aufregende und intensive Zeit der Vorbereitung erwarten mich.

Am Mittwoch, 12. Dezember durfte ich erstmals meinen Coach «Egidio Marcato» kennen lernen. Nach einem Gespräch in der Bar des Hotels «Schweizerhof» in Zürich wurde ich von Egidio Marcato eingeladen, am Weihnachtsessen des AICR, Sektion Schweiz, teilzunehmen. Ich bin dankbar, dass mein Coach mir diese Gelegenheit ermöglichte, bedeutende und wichtige Kontakte zu knüpfen. Unter anderem die Gewinnerin der Bucherer Trophy (Best receptionist of the year, switzerland), Florence Delhaise, welche mir bestimmt hilfreiche Tipps & Tricks beibringen kann.

It is a privilege and a big honour for me to represent Switzerland at the WorldSkills 2019 in Kazan (Russia) for the very first time in the category of „Hotel Reception “

I am happy to share with you through this blog my activities and experiences on the way to Kazan. There are exciting times ahead… my Swiss Military Recruit School as well as the challenging but inspiring and intense preparation for the WorldSkills.

On Wednesday, 12th December, I got to know my coach, Egidio Marcato, for the first time. After our preliminary conversation at the bar of the Hotel Schweizerhof in Zurich, I was invited to attend the Christmas Dinner of the AICR – Switzerland.

What a fantastic opportunity for networking and get to know many Swiss Front Office, Rooms Division and Deputy Managers, while receiving their support and encouragement.

Among them, Florence Delhaise, the winner of the Bucherer Trophy 2017 (Switzerland’s Best Receptionist of the Year competition).
